The app
Sportoum is an offline-first sports education app: lessons, quizzes, flashcards, and progress tracking across 30 sports, with no account required and no server-side backend.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sportoum on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
Educational content, not official rules
Sportoum's lessons, quizzes, and flashcards help you learn the fundamentals, tactics, and history of each sport. Official rules for competitive play are set by each sport's governing body — always check the current official rulebook before relying on this app for competitive play, refereeing, or coaching decisions.
Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse-engineer or decompile the app beyond what's permitted by law, use it for any unlawful purpose, interfere with its ads or normal operation, or misrepresent your affiliation with us.
Advertising
Sportoum is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob, subject to Google's own terms and policies — see our Privacy Policy for what this involves.
Intellectual property
The app's design, branding, original lesson/quiz/flashcard content, and software are owned by the Sportoum team (or licensed to us). Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that ownership to you.
No warranty
Sportoum is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Sports rules, records, and terminology can change over time; while we aim for accuracy, we don't guarantee the content is always current or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes to the app or these Terms
We may update the app or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
