Privacy Policy
What Sportoum collects, how it's used, and the choices you have — written to reflect exactly what the app does, nothing more.

The short version
Sportoum has no accounts, no login, and no server backend — your learning progress (XP, streaks, completed lessons, quiz history) is stored only on your device. Outside data collection is limited to your device's advertising identifier (to show ads through Google AdMob) and anonymous usage analytics (via Google Firebase Analytics) that help us understand app usage and fix problems. We don't collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data, and nothing is sold.
Information stored on your device
To make the app work, Sportoum stores your learning progress (XP, level, streaks, completed lessons, quiz and flashcard history, bookmarked sports, unlocked achievements) and your preferences (language, theme, accessibility, notifications, reading voice) locally on your device only — never on a server we operate. This data is removed if you uninstall the app, or immediately if you use "Reset All Progress" in Settings.
Advertising
Sportoum shows ads through Google AdMob to keep the app free. AdMob and its partners may use your device's advertising identifier and general technical information to select and measure ads. On iOS, we ask permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any identifier is used for personalization — if you decline, you'll still see ads, just not personalized ones. In regions that require it, a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) appears before ads load, and you can change your choice there at any time. You can also opt out of personalized advertising from your device's own settings.
Analytics
Sportoum uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used — which screens are viewed, how many lessons or quizzes are completed, and whether a given app version works correctly. This involves app usage events, basic device/app information (device model, OS version, app version, general country/region), and a Firebase-generated app instance identifier that isn't tied to your name, email, or any other personal information — we have no account system to link it to. This data is processed in aggregate/statistical form to help us improve the app; we don't build an individual profile of you, and we don't sell it. There's currently no in-app toggle specifically for analytics collection.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, they're scheduled entirely on your device using its own operating system — we don't operate a push-notification server and no notification content is sent anywhere.
What we don't collect
Sportoum does not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or any camera or microphone recordings. There's no account system, so there's no personal profile of you on any server we control.
Children's privacy
Sportoum is a general-audience sports education app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll address it.
Your choices
You can turn off notifications any time from Settings or your device's system settings, opt out of ad personalization from your device's settings, and reset or delete your local progress any time from Settings → Reset All Progress.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
